  • Elusive left rear wheel bearing

Ive done a couple searches regarding the left rear wheel bearing and got directed to james england as a supplier, however, he has not responded to the pm i sent.
My local yamaha dealer can not get this bearing, ive seen a couple on ebay, but after shipping the price comes to around 80-90$. Is there a source for these that im unaware of?

      Not elusive

It's not as elusive as folks allude.

      Do a (internet-not forum) search for NA5904.

You can find it easily on eBay and Amazon.

              Hey Islandlife,

Do you have any friends in the USA that would be willing to receive and then forward it along to you?? They usually go for about $30-40 US, and the shipping to Canada shouldn't be too much....I have shipped using Priority Small flat rate box for around $10.00 or so IIRC. And the DUTY/Tax shouldn't be too much with only a $30 value listed on it!?

And remember to search for just the NA5904 with Needle Bearings ONLY, there are some out there that list mix of roller bearings and needle bearings!

                Hi Islandlife,
Location ? Canada as the 2nd largest country in the world is a bit vague
The NA5904 is not as rare as we at first thought. No longer offered by Yamaha but still used in some industrial applications.
James was able to source them in the UK and provided many to us on this side of the pond.
Since then we have discovered a number of sources. A good bearing supply house should be able to source it for you and as mentioned in the $50 range. NTN KOYO and other major brands make it.
                see TC post for details.

                    Hi Islandlife,
You might have to paddle over to the mainland for these
