It is not in the pick up coil wires, replaced them already. It is an intermittent problem in the wiring, shorts out and blows 40 amp fuse (the main). Have lots of XS 11 s--- up the rear. Anyone looking for any parts, tired of messing with this bike only has 5300 miles on it and has a new gas tank and have sunk money after moeny into it.
He can not seem to get it running and he is a very good mechanic. Live in Ohio if anyone is ineterested in trying to gert it running. Had carbs completely redone and so much mcuh more.

Thanks for any help or interest

    short

have you tried pulling and tugging on parts of the wire loom while bike is running to try and isolate the short. sounds like a dead short to ground.
when you want something bad enough, don't let anything stand in your way, and don't take "no" for an answer. EVER
