    . . . Test ells.

Made these test ells for my '80G out of 1/8" NPT - 1/4" barb ells:
(The one on top I ruined by getting in a hurry and sanded the 1/8" threads off unevenly and the die cut through as seen in the 5th pic)

Tried the nylon tees and they leaked and I didn't want to use teflon tape in case a piece got into the starter jet:

    Used a M8 x 1P die:

Here's where the levels are at 1100rpm:

1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
    1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
    1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
    1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
    1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

For your '80, it looks good. The '79 NEEDS the adjustment via float, as it's not so "smog rule" an engine.
