Did you find the springs Ben? I did not find any spares in my parts boxes.

          Springs from XJBikes

          Mark,
Len at XJBikes.com had them. They are ordered and on the way. The petcocks are now in OEM configuration. Once the new springs are installed, they should perform properly.

That was my first suggestion to Ben. I thought he would have them, he has everything else for XJs.

Thanks for that suggestion Mark...it was right on...funny thing is neither of us thought of Len when it came time to buy the rebuild kits...but that was my responsibility ...I went with some vendor on Amazon...but had i known sooner about Len i would have gone to him. Len is in the ATL area so Kurt should get the stuff he ordered this week without the need to overnite...alot of work has gone into this...but without functioning petcocks we aint going nowhere...

                I'm a little late, Ben.

I got a coffee can of old petcock parts. I have springs from some XS750 petcocks that look to be the same.

If you are interested, I can send them, no charge.

I assume that the MikesXS ones for the XS650 as mentioned earlier by Marty have enough volume flow to not cause any fuel supply issues?

If Marty mentioned it....then i would think they would work fine...

My petcocks have been rebuilt and have new diaphram springs from Len and K and L rebuild kits from Powersports Superstore(do not recommend them)..all vacuum function is restored and gas will stop flowing when engine is off. I dont plan to use the Reserve function but petcoks are set to RES 100% of the time...my gas gauge is dead nuts accurate and I also fly by the ODO readings as well...so thats a wrap for this build...
