The good news is ANY round speedo from Yamaha will probably work. As the top speed of these was about 130, the 145Mph speedo from the 750/850 works well. The 650 speedo will also work, and any one of them will go into the stock mount. I put a 750 speedo in my Midnight Special because I hated pegging the speedo every time I went out for a ride.

The 850 only goes up to 85 because it didn't begin production until 1980 but the 750 speedometer , which is what I run, goes up to 140 and the 650 goes up to 120 and are as accurate as what we have because they both use the same size front tire.
You have to be careful buying the 750 speedos though because there are 2 different styles. One is an ugly green faced one with a big needle, the other is exactly like our black faced units. You just need to swap out the wiring haness in them.
