  • Gotta have chrome

I got to thinking, (my first mistake) i wanted more chrome on my bike. all the original chrome minus the fenders, was totally shot, i mean flaking off like 50 year old paint with this white oxidation all over the place. At a minimum i want the two engine side covers, the clutch and transmission cover, grab bar, and a variety of little parts that lost their luster, re- chromed.

I know there has been posts in the past about chromers, and from what i've learned it is not cheap at all. But I'm so happy that my bike is finally running perfectly, i'm willing to entertain the possibility of dumping another wad of cash into it.

I know it may get pricy but does anyone know of a good chromer? and has anyone gone this route and have any advice to share?

The engine side covers aren't chrome. They are polished aluminum with a factory clear-coat. Remove the clear-coat then polish to a lustery sheen.
