My 80G is due for new front rubber. I live in NW Pa so the roads aren't great. What do any of you on the forum recommend?

Round black rubber tires are the best! There are as many opinions here on that as members. Search it as it has been covered. .......or wait for the 30 responses.

+1 on round, I don't care about color. As you probably only put 1 or 2K per year on the bike, cheap may work well. After 5 years, you need to think about new anyway.

What? I don't know what roads you're riding, but your neck of the woods is a go to riding destination for many.

. . . Conti Go's are my choice, for my full dressed '80G, only because they stopped making the Conti Blitz, but a lot on here are using Shinko's with good reviews.

Shinko 712 is the best bang for the buck. period

Front or rear for low mileage riders. For more LD riding still the 712 front but the Dunlop Elite 3 on the rear.

Donlop does NOT make the E3 in 17" anymore. Shinko makes a "touring" tire that can hold the weight, but it's still only good for about 5K miles. I put a set on the Quail bike and was happy with the handling, but sold it before I had to worry about tire life.

My bad. I didn't notice what he was on.

I used to run a Shinko 712 on my 80G. Changed to a Shinko 777. Much better feel on the road and it pretty much ignores the rain grooves on the interstate.
