    Harry,

The Jets I'm talking about you can't remove, they are pressed into the float bowl. Have you checked them to make sure you can spritz carb cleaner thru them???

      idle problem

Not sure about them ? I got the carbs back on the bike now but the bike won't start . It's like it's not getting any fuel ? I loosened the screw in the bottom of the bowl and no fuel came out. What have I done now ??? 😩

Would imagine 'octy' vacuum and fuel lines hooked up incorrectly.

Set it on prime to fill the bowls. Give it a minute before you turn the key and hit the starter. These bikes work the starter jets from the bowls when you pull the choke lever all the way out and give it no throttle. That is what makes the vacuum from the engine to suck up the fuel through the starter jets.

            idle problem

Not sure if I did something wrong but no fuel is getting into the bowls . Lines are hooked up correctly. No idea what to do next . Do I need to pull the carbs apart again ? Can't see what I would have done wrong ?

              Hey Harry,

Don't pull the carbs yet, just the fuel line first from the petcock and ensure that fuel is flowing out of it. Also, pop open the gas cap to allow it to vent. If fuel is flowing, then you may need to check the carbs. You cleaned the carbs, and they were working before. There is a filter screen beneath the float needle seat, did you clean it when you cleaned the carbs, did you take the seat out?? Also, did you clean the inlet T's between the carbs, they can clog also. The float needles can get cocked/stuck, but that will usually let fuel flow to the point of flooding, not STOP it from flowing.

                Kinked fuel lines?

JAT- I have had both fuel lines kinked before.

                  idle problem

I made the fuel lines longer so I could lift the tank and make adjustments. I thought that may have affected the vacuum so I shortened them again . Still no fuel in the bowls . The lines are on properly. What could I have done when reassembling the carbs ? I pulled everything apart and cleaned it . I'm a little frustrated !! Help !!

                    Fuel

Well the petcocks either aren't delivering the fuel to the lines, or the fuel t's aren't delivering the fuel to the bowls. Do you have enough gas in the tank? If it's fairly low switch to the reserve position on the petcocks.
