  • Kerker Muffler - re-pack it or get something else? [pix]

I've managed to take my Kerker muffler apart today - thanks to almighty oxy acetylene torch. It looks like baffle rusted out from the inlet tube.
I have 4 into 1 exahust with 2.0" outlet. It would be easy to weld that tube back to the baffle.
re-pack it OR should I get a different muffler?
I've read that Kerker is one of the most high performance free-flowing systems but it seems to me that baffle pipe that sticks out from the muffler (on the inlet) is slightly restrictive. Though I know I need some backpressure (?). So should I just pack it and put it on the bike and be done with it? Thanks.

Weld this baffle and this tube

    Restrictive baffle inlet tube?

Stick with what works! Plus, that baffle quiets the bike down. Buy some fiberglass packing, roll it up tight, wrap it in safety wire, and ride-on!

I run my Kerker without the fiberglass wrap, sounds great, not too loud, YMMV.

I had to rebuild the baffle for mine from scratch! It worked when I was done, but I DID end up wrapping it to keep the noise down a little.
