That was a nice looking bike. This was my bike soon after I bought it in Virginia Beach. Super bright sunshine day makes for a good picture.

Most probably don't know, but Vince (Vincer on here), that owned that bike, was a very good friend and riding buddy to several of us, but especially close with Harry, who he lived with for a while. He passed away a while back,(http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41964) but his bike had been sitting even before that. So to see Harry getting it back on the road means a lot to us. It's not just another saved XJ, it is a buddy's old bike he's saving. Proud of you, Harry.

Thanks Tod. Yes, it means a lot to me as well. So much more than just another bike.

              Way ta go, Harry!

Cool you're getting Vince's bike back on the road.

Hopefully, the rings will reseat and it won't be an oil burner, requiring a rebuild.
Sounds like you got it freed up ok, though.

I'll always be partial to XJ's, but that bike's even more "special". I know what that one especially means to you, and others here.

I expected to occaisionally see mine running around Skiatook from time to time, since I sold it to a guy that lived here... but I've never seen it since.

Seeing that pic of yours with the Vetter setup reminds me of mine.

Ride it safely, w/ pride, my brother!

                Nice looking bike Harry.

Greg do I need to come over and drink your beer up while I supervise that you are not slacking?
