i'm looking for both of the spark plug coils for my bike. its a 1980 xs1100lg midnight special. what year will fit or where's a good place to look for these?

IMO, look for a set of used Honda VFR coils, 1.5ohm variety to first be checked across both poles with an ohm meter as there are both 3ohm and 1.5ohm coils. These particular ones bolt right in place of the stock coils and you get to make up plug wires of your choice.
