Ha! That clutch cable broke on me on Rising Sun years ago in San Diego. Had to do same vise grip mod to limp it home. Cool!

Same here. Great minds think alike. Luckily I did highway most of the way. Upshifting was without clutch. Take-off and downshifting required the grips.Skids (Sid Hansen)
