  • Manometer tutorial (Carburetor Synchronization)

Some of you may already be watching the Hackaweek Youtube channel. The April 2 edition has a very good tutorial on building a manometer and using it to sync the carbs on a CB750.

73 Honda CB750 Custom Build Episode 35 - Carburetor Synchronization

He should have put some small orifices down near the carbs, but I'll leave that for your comments. This may help or motivate someone.

    Marty,

That guy obviously knows his stuff. There are some good tid-bits in his explanation of the relationship between carbs when one is adjusted the others changing slightly.

HOWEVER, the apparatus he built: gauges he said he bought on Flea-bay for $7 each ($28), probably $10 worth of PVC parts, $10 worth of fittings +/-, air hoses, homemade adapters for the Honda Carbs, misc. supplies (Zip Ties, Hot Glue, Etc.), +LABOR TIME TO ASSEMBLE. He also uses a tool "MOST" do-it-yourselfers probably don't have, 1/4" NPT pipe tap.

I paid <$60 for my EMGO 4-Carb set complete with all the adapters he made & in-line valves to eliminate the "bouncing needles" he built the PVC tubes for. I think he spent more for his set-up in parts?

Thanks for the link.... The guy is informative...
