So I was out in my shop doing my yearly maintain on my 81 xs bobber. One of the things I was doing was changing the front tire and rebuilding the front brakes. While I had the front tire off I was looking at a set of spoke rims that a buddy just gave me off a 76 kz900. They are powder coated black and really get looking rims. I've always wanted spokes to go with the bobber look. So I figured I'd look at how the kz rim would look on my bike. When I set it in place it looked like everything lined up perfect, but the kz axel wasn't the same. So I removed the kz axel and the xs axel was the same length and diameter. I slide the xs axel into the kz rim and the damn thing bolted right up and the disk lined up perfect with the caliper. The only difference is that the kz rim is single disk and the xs is duel. .

Yeah I knew that the 650 would fit, just thought it was crazy that the kz spoke fit on there so well without spacers. yeah the rear wheel is a different story. I could have one made for about $900 buti like to use whatever i have on hand. Some said that it might be possible to use a rear spoke from a goldwing but i havent researched that as much.
