    Greg,
I believe it might have been MARTY that posted a how-to where he removed the hardened crap on the tee and then put a row of several HF O-rings on the tee. I also read some other post that another guy had followed those instructions and had success.

I sorta kinda remember something like that but I looked in the repairs section and nothing.

Whenever I try to use the search function here I end up having to go through 4K posts to find what I'm looking for if I find it at all.

      So, I just ask.

Neither is cheap but the are all brass with replaceable orings for the future. It is what I will get when I need them.

Thanks Nate, the bigger ones are for the fuel, smaller ones are the bowl vents. I have a couple of those that fit snug, I'm thinking of trying those.

I found a video that Mack made, may try his method also.

              Thanks for the responses y'all.

                Repair

Remove the area between the original raised o-rings:

Add two new o-rings to each side lube with silicone grease and install

1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
                1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
                1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
                1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
                1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

The o-rings might still leak for a minute until they swell. Several times I have had the carbs apart and back together and found leaking gas from this mod/fix. Give it 20 minutes before cussing and tearing it back apart.

That's where I was with these tees. They always swelled and stopped leaking before. Messed with them for 3 hours today and they weren't just leaking, they both were pouring.

Thanks mack, I've already got it done. I used Schming's method with 2 orings between the 2 raised shoulders on the stock rubber. I just finished putting them back together.

They feel good now, nice and snug. They were just flopping around before.

I'll get the carbs reinstalled after work, check for leaks and resync.

Thanks again everyone for the responses and the pics. Just the kind of ideas I was hoping for.

I used that method on Jeff in Tampa's carbs when I rebuilt them and no leaks either so I figure that fix is a keeper
