Can anyone tell me if there would be an issue using the side stand from a standard on a special, i.e. are they the same length, etc.

They should be the same, the standard may have a longer foot lever but is easily bent up out of the way.

They are slightly different length, and different design to accommodate possible different position of the exhausts. Mounting to the frame is the same on both.

Thanks guys, a slightly long foot lever would be good, cos even though I dont have an exhaust that side I sometimes struggle a tad to get my boot on it to flick it down.
