    I guess I'm a unicorn. I had a new looking rear tire blow out on my bike at 70mph on the open highway, although it was several years older than what he has. No anecdotes, no horror stories.. just facts.

      Thanks for all of the different viewpoints. I will be careful and take it easy on these tires and toss them if they feel unruly.

      I took a few local rides last fall. They felt great.

      I will have the bike out on the driveway when we get some sunshine for a thorough inspection with a magnifying glass to look for any cracks.
