I use the ramp for the bike, and slide the engine up into the truck, or trailer in my case. Bring a 1/4" chunk of plywood, about 12" X 16" to put the engine on, and it will slide with just one person.

Did not know the weight, but due to the shape and weight distribution, I had to have help to lift and load my spare (twice) Two bodies, male, one on each end of the assembly, picked lifted mine from ground to trailer and later from ground to pickup bed. (a higher point). Quite a surprise, after watching TV stars hug a VTwin and carry it around.

Yeah it's a pretty blue, but just because you're old is no excuse to buy a bagger. Fortunately I have wrenches.

        aches and pains

        hmm.

i have been moving these around by myself over the last couple of years...

but this last summer i picked one off the ground and locked it into my engine stand, and i had some discomfort afterwards..

i think i'm done with trying that by myself.

it seemed better before i knew what they weighted.

now, it just makes things ache thinking about it.

+1 with that statement Mack.........don't think I'd be able to repeat another engine swap myself, especially after having metal pieces internally installed after my herendous accident in June.
