20w-50 Dino oil will do just fine in winter and is really probably the best oil overall for the XS11 if truth be told. It will crank harder, but how many times do any of us ride below 30 deg F? So, if you don't go lower than 15-18 deg F, 20w-50 looks to fill the bill.

I ran 15w-50 Mobil 1 in my ZRX1200 for a 5000 mile OCI, and held shift quality very well. Oil analysis showed normal wear numbers as well and only sheared down to a mid-40W. Granted, the liquid cooled engine is way easier on oil than the XS11 will ever be. But what you gain with the M1 15w-50 over any dino 20w-50 or 15w-40 is a really low flow point if cold weather performance is important along with better stability (particularly flashpoint) at higher temps.

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

It's funny, I was just talking with some of the guys at work (slow day, no order) and we were discussing the leaps in technology and communication, unlike anything the world has ever known in the history of mankind. Ever!

One can find darn near any piece of information they desire to find through the WWW.

I love it. I do not take it for granted. And I guess that's the reason for my stunned befuddle-ment.
Would'nt believe that if I were you. BA80 IS correct.
