What is everyone's suggestion on oil for my bike? Since everyone was so helpful finding my oil plug for me. I Hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving.

The search is pretty much useless since most questions on oil will lead you to a lot of pointless answers. Like he has already received here.
I don't understand the need to give him a hard time. The newer members aren't as comfortable using the search feature. I've been a member here for 11 years and I still think the search feature sucks.

Oil threads and tire threads are a part of helping out the new members. Skip them if they bother you.

By the way, we use 20-50 too

On the other hand, does a question like that really need to be asked?

Isn't the answer already in the owner's manual?

The weights are given, for the environment (temperatures) that the machine is intended to be used in.

Unless he just crawled out from under a rock (not likely since he has a motorcycle and is using the 'inter-web') a question like that is pretty ridiculous...

Heres what I use... note that on the backside of the container in the lower right hand coremr is a round symbol...in the bottom half of this symbol...it should be blank...if it says "energy conserving' then you DO NOT want that...friction modifiers are a no-no with a wet clutch... There... was that so hard???

OK then... go find me a good source for 20-40 oil like the manual says. Now go crawl under your rock and quit being disrespectful to the new people, please. People come here for questions they have and I'd hate to see them treated like they are at "Other" motorcycle sites. Thanks.

Google is a friend to you and me...

It's funny, I was just talking with some of the guys at work (slow day, no order) and we were discussing the leaps in technology and communication, unlike anything the world has ever known in the history of mankind. Ever!

One can find darn near any piece of information they desire to find through the WWW.

I love it. I do not take it for granted. And I guess that's the reason for my stunned befuddle-ment.

I agree entirely. The search facility isn't much good and isn't the point of a members forum to communicate with one another, not just search a database?

I always use mineral 20-50, like they made in the 1970's and 80's.
