A good friend of mine who's been helping me with the fix-ups on my 82 XJ was over the other day working on something with me. He's a Harley rider - thinks there's nothing else like them. Well, let's just say after he took a ride on the XJ he was thinking a bit different. He kept commenting how smooth it was and how quiet. A lot of Harley dudes think "loud pipes save lives" but he thought it was nice for a change - could cruise all day. He drove and I rode (2-up) and he was still quit impressed with the power. After we parked the bike at home, he said he'd have to go home and give his a hug cause it felt like he just cheated on it.
