Bob - I think I get your idea but it's much easier with a simple diagram.

For each petcock valve, I think I will convert its 2 outputs into 1 output through a Y adapter instead of plugging off one of the outputs on each valve like you did (if I understood you right).

Don’t know a simple way to get a diagram posted here. Think of it as an “H” the top two lines of the “H” going to the two petcocks (valves) and the bottom two going to two carbs each. I crossed the bottom two (left line to right carbs and visa vera) because the lines lay better and allow more slack.

I thought about hooking in the prime outlet from the petcocks but figure it was simpler and easier this way. I think the prime is the same as reserve but the output was used to bypass the octopus.

Right now I am running without the octopus. I may or may not try using it again in the future.

I brought 2 hoses off of the left hand petcock outputs, through a "Y" adapter and into a single output hose to the right hand bank of carbs. Did the same thing with the right hand petcock outputs through the adapter to the left hand set of carbs.

It takes a little time to figure out the proper lengths of hose and where the "Y" adapter and inline filters should go, and a lot of spare hose for fiddling, but I think it will work. I'll have to test it while riding.

I do like the idea of 1 fuel valve though - may have to look into that....
