    washer/bolt removal

Is the washer/bolt from the end of the countershaft reverse threaded? I can't seem to get the damn thing off and the bolt is starting to round out a bit. Any advise before I really strip it? Thanks.

No, the special washerbase bolt is a regular right hand thread. The torque spec for it is 51 ft-lb so it is going to feel tight. Be sure you are using a good 6-point socket for this, not a 12-point, and a long enough ratchet to do the job. If you can get your hands on a hand-held impact driver, you will get away from the potential of the socket slipping off as you crank away at it.

      Thanks

Thanks, the 6pt socket did the trick without using an impact gun. Gears are out and waiting for me to clean up second gear.
