Leaving my 2nd job at the shop, clutch cable breaks at the handlebar. No big deal, have a spare a few feet away. Go to lift the actuator arm to get the ball in the socket . . . SNAP! So, had to go to my storage wnd cannibalize my spare engine. Swapped the new one on. Wondering what the issue was. Noticed some vertical slop between the lever and the mount. Ball peen to close the gap, and maybe that'll prevent the cable rubbing? Ordered another MP clutch cable, and a MP throttle cable from a XJ750 (shorter) for the trip next weekend. It'll be the same tool kit as last time, except a bigger first aid kit. That drunk Harley guy used my whole kit up at the Lost Rally.
Spending the day today putting new fuel line on, clamps on vacuum hoses, syncing the carbs again, cleaning-up the engine paint, maybe re-paint the tank, side cover, and cowl emblems.
