    Bearing Housing Cover

I'm in the process of polishing covers on the engine. The "bearing housing" cover which is next to the starter motor cover. To remover this is it a simple case of removing the three allen screws and pulling to cover off? What I'm worried about is something dropping down when I remove the cover this way. Also when replacing is it the reverse of removal or does things have to be alined first?

You can remove and replace the cover without too much problem if you don't do anything else to the engine while it's off. Just keep the bike on the center stand and it shouldn't be bad. Be careful not to nick the "O" ring seal on the cover, though.
