  • What jet sizes do you run?

I am at sea level, I have pod air filters and a 4 in 1 Jardine. I am rebuilding my carbs and the stock 110 and 42.5 are in all 4 carbs. (1980 sg)

    Thanks guys

My F has a 4/1 and pods, and I'm three sizes up on the mains, and one size up on the pilots from stock. I'm around 400-500' above sea level. Runs like Hilary Clinton in a crowd of reporters.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

'79 XS11 Standard, Jardine 4/1, Dyna DC1-1 Coils, 145 mains, 45 pilots, plastic floats - 25.7mm, XV920 fuel valves, inline fuel filters, speed bleeders, Mikes XS pods, spade-type fuse block, fork brace, progressive fork springs/shocks, manual petcocks, 750 FD, Venture cam chain tensioner, SS brake lines

      Hey Joe,

Ditto on DB's specs, 117.5 mains and 45 pilots, also at sea level on the East coast Virginia...runs great, nice color plugs....also Pods and 4-1 Pipes. I also have the little big bore 1179 kit, and DynaTek 30+ KV coils, and run high test/premium because of the big bore kit.

This thread will die by all the incorrect info that will come up soon. Every one will want to chime in and already some are later carbs and some earlier carb models. I think I have 145's and 42.5's in one of my bikes.

          Such negativity Doug.......

Depends mostly on exhaust and intake options. And year of course.

Joe, three sizes up on mains, and one up on the pilots should get you VERY close. Just remember, use ONLY MIKUNI JETS!!! ANYTHING else WILL give you problems, as they are NOT really the same size. DAMHIKIJK
