  • Help choosing new master cylinder

I have supermoto bars and I can't get them in the position I want because the MC banjo hits the triple tree. I found this MC which has the banjo in a different position (forward facing) so it would not interfere but it's only $35. Thoughts?

There's also this one made by Nissin for $190. Has side banjo BUT looks to be more compact and might fit.

    Rob,

I purchased the replacement Master from MikesXS. It does have the fitting facing forward. I believe I paid something like $70 for it from MikesXS.

I have little experience with the various aftermarket offerings but know that some have an issue with correct threading to fit Yamaha mirrors. I could be mistaken but I THINK the Honda's use a standard thread not a reverse/left thread on the right side where the Yamaha OEM mirror post is reverse/left thread. If your using OEM or an aftermarket Yamaha mirror post it won't work. If your not using the mirror post, it looks like it might be a good deal for less than $40.

I am very happy with the look and function of the one I got from Mikes. It is also slightly more compact overall than the OEM master.

Thanks Kurt. I don't use mirrors so not an issue. I never trusted them. Prefer to look over shoulder and be certain. Look forward to some more comments before making decision.

That first one would be good for a Special, I have the same one but 14MM on my Standard, works nicely, paint on it comes off though quickly and it will corrode fast, YMMV. The second one is much better quality, I have a 16MM Brembo coffin type on my Special and it cost less than this one.

I bought one just like the one on EBay for a 1973 CB750 and it worked great.
