This sounds like a stupid question, but the little things always mess me up. Is the speedometer cable for my 1979 Yamaha xs1100sf a standard cable? Is it the "one size fits all" (1978,79,80,81), or its it particular to the SF model? I have also seen some mention of a 2:00 position, but have no idea where it applies. Any help would be nice. Thanks!

They are different. The special cables have a loop on the drive end. The standard cables do not. I think the special cables are also longer.
