Hey all still rideing and loving it. I have ? for anyone. I was woundering if anyone knows how many XJ1100. were produced
in 82. I know that some were made in Japan as well as the states
. and I know mine was #211 in production. Thak you for you help again Bob .P

I contacted Yamaha customer relations in an effort to find out the production numbers for the Midnight Special. I was told that this wasn't "public information" Seems sort of strange that they offer support of the old bikes in some parts availability and feature a whole line of history of their motorcycles on their website but don't care to divuldge production figures. Perhaps they don't know? Hard to believe they wouldn't have kept records. In any case, if the manufacturer can't/won't tell, I doubt anything else would be a reliable count.
