  • Starter Selenoid...

    Just cleaned up my starter solenoid today. It can be taken apart. There are two wires inside the solenoid that will have to be unsoldered before, you can pull it apart. Pretty clean inside considering its age...(orig.). It's hard to get those two wires back through the small holes on the one side so.....I soldered a long thin wire to the these wires so I could feed them through the holes and then just trim off. Hope this is a help to someone. Wanted to keep the orig. unit if I could.
    At this time:

        Yes, thank you for the tip, Brother Cree!

        I've had to do a couple of solenoid repairs now and it never occurred to me to make the wire longer, I fought with finagling short wires into place and soldering.
