Seat for me SF

I see from various pic's online that there are different seat variations for my SF.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but do all these variations fit on the seat base which is unique to the SF?

Therefore the SF seat base is not interchangeable with any other XS1100 and no other XS1100 seat base will fit the SF?

I have an SF, it needed a seat. I picked up a wrecked 80 Midnight special. Nice seat, but when I tried to put it on the SF, the bottom hit the side covers. The MNS covers slanted differently than the SF. I loosened the fabric and trimmed the bottom of the seat pan to clear the SF side covers. After putting the fabric back, I was quite pleased with the new seat. The SF (79) seat is a bit different from any others. The E and F seats can be used, but fit a bit different in the tank area, but with a little push or trim they could be used.

The E/F seats won't fit anything else without major mods. The others semi-interchange but fit won't be the best.

If you're looking for just a replacement cover, these guys have direct replacement covers for all models.
