    Hello all,

Has anyone tried the TechnaFit Brake Lines on a 1980 XS1100LG?

I would like to put a set on my bike.

      Brake Lines

Yes, these do work, but they do not have any of the rubber grommets that the OE have.

You can get the ones from XJbikes.com if you would like to have the grommets. These are a better fit and cost more. Just a matter of preference.

All done with the Techna-Fit Lines...just a little snag...

I ordered the Techna-Fit brake lines for the 1980 XS1100LG.

The shipping was very fast, but there was a bit of a snag.

The rear line and master cylinder to the front splitter fit fine.

From the splitter to the front calipers we not quite fitting correctly...the connectors to the calipers were off by about 180 degrees.

I called Techna-Fit and they shipped a new set of fronts the same day and paid for the shipping of the set that didn't quite fit.

The replacements fit well and the job is finished...

Many thanks to all who helped...

If you read the product evaluation of the Techna-Fit lines, you'll see their company is more than willing to please the customer. Yes, a snag. But, keep in-mind, prior to me sending my lines to them, they were not making lines for motorcycles. You'll get no snags with Chacal lines, but they're quite a bit more. So, not bad on their part to make lines for us, and go out of their way to list it on their site. Glad all worked-out for you.

I used Techna Fit, no problems, then even made my master cylinder line 2" shorter to accommodate for my after market handlebars at no extra cost!!!

                Techna fit

Second the positives for Techna fit. I ordered two sets, one for an 80 special, and one set for my xj1100, both work great. And, I needed them in one week from time sent, and they delivered pronto, as I was off to Sturgis and needed them on the xj asap. Good communication also,The grommets were reused, and all lines and fittings were near duplicates, so I recommend highly, the Techna fit lines as they are a LOT CHEAPER and same quality as anyone and FAST........Mike in Sun Diego

On Ian's recommendation and experience, I got the Technafits for my F. No problems, good quality, and really a great price. I have the black clad lines for a more original look.
