Couple questions for those who have switched to the Accel super coils.
    1. Did you wind up having to go up one jet size to prevent lean running?
    2. Did you have to increase your plug gap to make full use of the increased spark intensity?
    3. What wire size did you use to connect to the harness, same as original?

This isn't specific to Accel coils. One, no jet changes should be needed if it's jetted right already i.e. you haven't jetted the bike to compensate for weak ignition. Two, I'd stick with the stock plug gap, maybe using the upper end of the spec at most. Keep in mind that due to the inherent limitation of the OEM ignition box in terms of current flow to the coils, you're really not getting a 'bigger' spark, just one at a higher voltage (with reduced current). Three, because of the current limit the same size wire for coil power is fine....
Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

      No. Don't know.
I'm still using the 42.5 Pilot jets in my '80G carburetors.
I think I had already changed the Main jets to 117.5-120-120-117.5 and switched to the '78/'79 style jet needles when I put on the Accel coils so I'm not sure if you would have to change the Mains in a stock carburetor.

      Maybe?
I don't know how the regular spark plugs would work, I use iridium spark plugs and they work fine with the Accel coils. The spark gap doesn't seem to make any significant difference unless it's too just too narrow to light the fuel on fire or ridiculously wide and can't spark. I gap them on the far end of the spec at 0.032" (0.8 mm), then ignore them for the next ten-thousand miles.

      3. What wire size did you use to connect to the harness, same as original?
I use the original wires and fuse for the Ignition circuit.

The only noticeable change I noted was how much easier it was to use a colortune. The accells have worked wonderfully for me, even with the ugly yellow wires.
I always set my bikes up to run before I put in Iridiums, but I always finish with them in place. I love how they run, but are too expensive to tune with. One all the plug reading is done, the iridiums will last a very long time.
So nope you do not need to change much to run hotter coils.

          Last stupid questions

Ok, so with the wasted spark system, it doesn't matter which terminal I hook #1 and # 4 to, or; #2 & #3 to, as long as I have 1/4 on the right coil and hooked to the orange wire?

Correct...as long as you have it wired to the proper trigger wire for that pair of cylinders it doesn't matter which high tension lead goes to which of the paired cylinders. That's why we can suggest for folks to swap the wires/caps on a paired coil as part of a diagnostic troubleshooting test for a cold cylinder to rule out spark vs. carb as the cause.

                Hey Mack,

Sorry, but I haven't really made the time to work on them as of yet, SWMBO had to change jobs, had to help her pack up her home office gear that was LOANED to her from her employer....laptop, extra large monitor, very large printer/scanner/fax machine, etc.! Also, having to perform the lawn maintanence duties myself essentially EVERY WEEK...this grass grows quickly at this latitude and climate, etc, etc., so not much spare time to PLAY with any of my toys!!

I'm just glad that my leaf blower woke up....the old fuel lines were rotten and I didn't realize they were leaking...replaced them and the filter....and also replaced the spark plug, and also put in some SeaFoam laden gas/oil mix...but it wouldn't get much over idle for a while....would go a little faster with the CHOKE engaged, but still wouldn't take much throttle. Let it sit with the fresh fuel/seafoam for a week and retried it this weekend, and it actually would rev and accept throttle input!!
