    Acct issue?

So I pulled off my valve/timing covers, and then my old Chain Tensioner.

The original has a plastic wear pad... The new Raptor 3TB-12210-00-00 ACCT that I was told would work by another thread, does not.

    Can I use it?

Yes you can use it, none of the ACCT have the plastic end.

        Thanks Phil!

Thanks for the answer Phil. I put it in and it sounds like it is working well. Timing is dead on.

New question, the timing wheel clicks really loud at idle... normal?

Not sure what you mean, is the vacuum operated timing mechanism jumping/pulsing and making noise?

Yes. Seems that way. Loud Clicking at low speeds. But not erratic, it is consistent, like lifter tick.

There is a large bearing that that unit travels on, it may need a few shots of silicone spray. Is your vacuum advance hooked to the #2 carb body? Sometimes it inadvertently gets hooked to the carb manifold which can cause this rattle. If it still persists, a restrictor such as an old pilot jet can be placed in the vacuum hose.

I like your style Phil. Instead of saying, "Some people are stupid and put the hose in the wrong place" you just say "Sometimes it gets hooked up wrong".

That was indeed the case. I had it connected to the #1 manifold. I was wondering what that nipple on the #2 carb was for!

You are on point phil. Thanks again.
