  • Assy Fuse Block

I am installing the new fuse holder and have a special horn that was already installed and wanted to remove that assy fuse block. Is there a purpose for it?

The horn has a relay I wanted to mount in that spot. The other owner had it stuffed under the seat, not mounted.

I have the four fuse lines moved and also want to move the main fuse since I have one open spot. Any thing I should look out for? That fuse is on the left side of the bike. Why did Yamaha put it on a different side?

    Thanks.

I am going to remove it. I do not see a reason for it.

Sounds like you made your decision. Only reason that fuse is located where it is, is because of accessability.

I got a second main fuse holder for $2, cut the plug off and ran new wires to the spade fuse in the new block. The old one is still there, and can be hooked up if I ever need/want to.

That was a great idea but I have used all six in the block. I moved the main fuse and a special horn in the block. I tested it last night and my Head does not work. I need to go out and check it out today.

Post a pic when you're done. I have a FIAMM set and relay waiting to go in and wondering where to put the relay.

Hope this came out OK. If I had to do it again I would use straight connectors on the top and 90 ones on the bottom.

Sorry about the picture being turned.

I replaced the connectors for the Head but this was operator error. My other bike lights come on when the key is on. I just realized this one has to be running before the light come on. We live and learn.
