I have another question for the turbo guys: what psi do all the turbo guys run day to day? As in not race pressures.
I figure if I get a camshaft ground to optimize supercharging then at 6 psi or so I can manage around 30 - 35 % more power over stock at best. Realistically it will probably end up just under 30% without working exhaust and getting timing and fuel spot on.

Edit... Found some tables for recommendations on psi vs static compression ratio. It looks like with a compression ratio at 9.2 would end up with about a effective compression ratio of 12:1 somewhere between 4 and 5 psi. The articles recommend not going past there with higher octance pump gas.

If you use the Wiesco kit on the later model, the comp ratio will be lower because of the larger valves and head design. You could probably do 6psi on pump hi-test... 95hp(crank) + 30% = 120hp, plus a LOT more torque=FUN!

          Hey Shane,

Just saw a post by Steaksandwich, fellow from New Zealand has apparently supercharged his XS11, so you might want to contact him to see/find out how he's done it, with carbs or what?? JAT!

Sweet , Thanks for that Topcat. I will ask him.
Diverray: I know I could swap internals and all but I kind of wanted a power adder without opening stuff up... Until I need to rebuild. Then I'll work everything over. I was thinking though. I could do a diy water/ meth injection and not have to pull timing or anything. Also may get away with using 87 octane. That could be a fairly cheap way of keeping my engine safe and could go higher boost at the same time.
