Hi guys. Joined up today and can't find any info, other than buying a cnc machined mod, for a chain conversion on my 81 xs1100. Could someone tell me if I can just bolt one on from a fj1300, only having to modify the swing arm, I got told the engines are similar enough to just bolt the drive on. ... is this true or am I being led astray again ha.

Yes, we all would like to know.
My guess is they won't work without some serious modification. Maybe the UK guys have done it...'79 XS11 F

Hey there SteakSandwich,
Please see the recent thread..... 8000k's chain ,it's a report from the guy in New Zealand that performed a homestyle chain drive conversion I was telling you about the other day. I had saved the photos years ago, never got around to putting them back in, just did that as best I could within the thread, but also put them at the end of it as well, so it might provide you with some info regarding how you might try to do your conversion.
You might be able to get ahold of the guy...I think his email address is still listed in that thread near the end....IF he still has his 11 and such???
