I understand what you're saying TC, To me, there are times when folks won't respond or follow the advice they are given when they ask for it by people much more knowledgeable. That makes helping an un-enjoyable process after the best options for solving his problem literally in the world are laid in front of him and he turns it all down to go his own route. I mean really, a tested set of carburetors for the cost of shipping? I think the board members went above and beyond in generosity and offering advice, and can voice frustration/disbelief. We did what we are called to do on this forum, go above and beyond.

I sure hope he gets his bike running, can't have enough XS's on the road!

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

I feel bad because it's Bob's old bike and we went for a ride when I was up in Washington to have fun and get an idea of what the problems were with his Midnight. I was going to help him fix it but I ran out of time on that trip.

I don't remember now what we'd guesstimated was wrong during the ride but if I had stuck around for a few more days to give him a hand the carburetors, at least, would be working correctly and David would have had an entirely different introduction to the XS11 community.
