Thats great news
I was a bit worried, this head was giving me fits. The intakes were badly pitted and the exhausts wouldn't give a consistent ring when I first tried to lap them, so I wound up having to have the seats all re- ground. I'd bought ss valves five years ago (just in case) and decided to use those to lap to the reconditioned seats. When I saw how close I was to the end of the chart I was worried. I had 290's down but nothing up that high. Someone had said that ford tauris's used the same so I spent some time on the phone with them yesterday and they said no, when they need shims they go through"summit racing". I called SR but they don't carry our size either. I love this site.mack

Sorry about that, Mack. I was going to check last night but I was totally beat just from a simple trip to the DMV to renew my license and ID cards. And ... my memory has basically turned me into Dory from "Finding Nemo." "Stop following me!"
I'll go through workbench parts collection after breakfast and let you know -- one more time around the goldfish bowl.

I have one 300 shim, a 310 and a 295 so it may be over to 'Kat.
