  • Broken Shift Fork...

    I am in the middle of fixing the second gear and found this.


    Are the XS and XJ shift forks the same? If so I have one from an E engine If not I will need to find one.

    According to http://xs1100.com/index.php the parts are the same on an XJ. You can go check yourself to be sure.
    2-79 XS1100 SF
    2-78 XS1100 E Best bike Ever
    80 XS 1100 SG Big bore kit but not fully running yet.
    Couple of more parts bikes of which 2 more will live!

        I thought so as well, but I would hate to give you a wrong answer, if I can avoid it, so I checked on the parts exchange. I have had one XJ and I sold it before I managed any experiences with it, so my knowledge of them is very limited.

          All the same motors/trannies internally from 'jugs' down
