Back on the project - Need help with piston rings

I spent a few years in a small family owned engine machine shop. Given what you are going thru it may behoove you to find one that will inspect the cylinders with a dial gage (probably for free) to make sure rings are all that's needed. Just peace of mind that the cylinders are still true. If not then rings will not fix this.

Thanks. I have a set of gages for checking inside diameters. I checked them before and they were nice and true. I'll check them again though. Thanks for the advice.
