  • Oil cooler: Keep or take it off

Got a 79 xs1100 standard and it came with oil cooler but not a well fitted one, kind of a rigged job. Should I keep it or take it off? Opinions please, thanks guys

How hard would it be to make it not look like it was rigged by a monkey? Is it within your skill level? If so, fix it. If not. take it off, you don't really need it.

Agree....remove it(and the adapter piece at filter housing). Don't try and cap the connections on adaptor.....remove it.

I think they look cool, mount it pretty and keep it.

          I would say....remove it....if it doesn't look clean...

The climate in Nebraska probably doesn't warrant the need. Unless you are doing a LOT of 100+ degree weather riding with your ride loaded down.....

I with most everyone else. Keep it if you can clean it up. If not remove it.

Yup, they're awful. You don't need them in Nebraska, as others have said. Just be rid of the thing completely.. You need to dispose of it properly. I'll pm you my address.
