Nate, how did you install those ISO Kuryakan grips? Instructions say that you need to cut off old grips, or something?

Well yeah, you gotta remove the old grips.....

They just slide on like any other grip. They give you a glue to use but I just used wd40 or maybe I used hair spray.

I use hair spray because it dries. Does WD40 dry as well? Was afraid to try it for fear the grips would not stay put.

WD40?.........be afraid!. Hairspray is 'old school' grip glue........and still the 'bomb' today.

            Hi motoman,
you'd have to go out and buy hairspray and writhe with embarrassment at the boutique's sales counter.
Or worse, borrow the wife's stuff and live in fear of discovery.
            But WD40? Everybody's got that.
FWIW, although WD40 ain't the universal fluid it's hyped up to be it does work for getting grips on and off.
Remove grips by shoving a skinny screwdriver between the grip and the bar and squirting WD40 into the gap then wringing the grip off.
Squirt the bar with WD40 and the grip slides right on. The grip slithers about at first but sets up solid overnight.

Yeah wd40 dries to a sticky goo. It is a lot slower to dry though.

lol......I just use compressor and stick blower nozzle in under grip, give it several blast with a bit of pulling pressure and let it 'fart' its way off.

Same going back on with a shot of hairspray on bar/throttle tube. By time it 'farts its way back on, the spray is fairly dried.....wa-la. Final Net, keeps the grip stable in windy conditions!
