  • LED tail/ brake

ok so heres what i did:

i removed everyhting off the back of the bike during my chop. put a custom brake/ plate axle mount. everyhting was all fine and dandy..

    until:

the splice broke/melted and shorted out causing the brake light wires to melt.(unplugged and i rode home with no brake or tail light...)

    the fix:

redid all the wires and replaced the bulb with a LED bulb off amazon.

    problem:

the warning light on my dash is on with the LED (tail/ brake works fine).
the warning light is not on when i put a regular incandescent bulb in.

    question:

how can i make that light shut off wile using the LED light without disconnecting it from the oil/ brake fluid sensors?

The 79 special has a tail lights sensor (only year to have it) to let you know when your tail lights is burnt out. One of the little black things under the seat is the light checker for that. It can be unplugged I think.
