    Speedo Cable

Thanks for all the replies. Just like to add an update. I replaced the speedo, and found my original one very loose inside. It even rattled when I shook it. The one I replaced it with seems tight and quite. It looks like my original one was wore out after 28K. I tried a speedo from a Midnight special but when I was supposed to be doing 85KPH it was reading 60KPH. So the drive hubs are different. Something I didn't know. Cheers Floyd

The XS speedometer drives are shaped differently between the Specials and standards, but all use the same ratio so if a different speedo is inaccurate, it's the speedo, not the drive.
