thanks for the info on the bearings! I went to the local bearing houses, and found the right side bearing, which they said is a common size. The left was another story, they could match the i.d., and the o.d. but the overall height of their bearing was about 1/4 inch too short. maybe use that one and cut a spacer? I dont know? Or possibly find two ball bearings of the right dimensions, but shorter to equal one of the original, and use both. I dont know what that would do as far as keeping cool, and proper lubrication. anyway, I bit the bullet, and ordered one from the yamaha dealer to the tune of 39$, highway robbery! the other right side was $7.65! anyway, just some thoughts. dbag51
