  • What size "sock" filters over stock velocity stacks?

For the time being I'm not using the air box, and want to put filters over the stock velocity stacks (which have been removed from the air box, and attached to the carbs). I'm buying up all the parts I'll need before I go to work on the bike, which is a long drive from me, so I can't measure the stacks right now.

Looking at these type of filters, what size should I get?

    Hey Oak,

54mm is the size that is normally used for the carbs. I reviewed the posts for the OEM box velocity stacks...and this one talks about how it's a SNUG fit to get the filter onto the velocity stack once the rubber mount is removed from the pod filter, but it doesn't actually say what size pod filter to use.

So...I would still think to use the 54mm size.
