hey guys. The tips broke on my pilot screw. I wasn't sure what size or kind I needed to replace them.

Make sure you get the broken tips out of the carb bodies. These will fit your SF...

You may want to send a PM to Andreas Weiss, our parts guru, for the pilot screws, or post in the parts wanted section for your needs.

Also the list of bikes, in the link bikerphil posted, that use the same screws, might be helpful to locate them on ebay
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
        1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
        1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
        1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
        1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

The pilot jets are 2/$7, good luck finding those screws any cheaper. They do come in some rebuild kits but you would be paying more but getting other parts you may not need.

I found a set of 4 rebuild kits for the same price as 4 individual screws so i'll just get the entire kits.

I thought the screws and the jets were the same. I'm good with working on anything but the carbs of a bike. for some reason I have trouble totally understanding them. anyways guys thanks a lot for the advice.

I started with a basket case and now have an amazing bike which was only achievable through all the help on here. After I get these carbs I should be all set!!!

Yep, be careful of those carb kits, many have the wrong type of pilot jets so check them carefully before installing them or just use your old pilot jets. GL

Anybody know what the thread size is on pilot jets? I need to chase out the threads on a set.

                Thanks
