  • Feeling stupid...

Aargh! I'm sure you guys don't need to see another "oil overfill" thread from a newbie, and I've read the old threads, but I still have a question. As you can guess, I lost a battle with the stupid oil fill sight window (had the oil changed at a shop, checked the oil a few weeks later and couldn't see a line so assumed it was low, dumped in a quart without a change in the window, no tools with me so I rode it 100 miles home). Anyway, as you can guess, there is now a puddle under my bike and the air filter is dripping oil. I can fix these easily, but there is a new whistling / chirping sound that I can't find. Any guesses where to look?

The engine breather is on the back of the engine, under the airbox. I would pull it, and clean it and the breather tube that goes to the airbox, AFTER the oil is at the proper level.
