Is the d100 aerosol or brush on type?

I thought the stuff was only available at radio shack because their name is printed on the packaging for the d5.

Aerosol. Dunno about RadShack. Doubtful RadShack has any affiliation with them.

        Where to buy deoxit

From their website - a list of retailers.
Some in Canada on the last page...

Radio shack is belly-up, so you won't be buying DeOxit there....

I get mine off the internet, the larger can is the same price as the small one was at most retail stores.

            Thanks guys,
Does it work as well as the prices would indicate?

Well, not technically. Radio Shack still has privately owned stores, so there are many still around. There are two types of the regular cleaner: The 5%, and the 100%. The 100% is only sold in smaller cans I believe.

I would try what you did again, (Bike running in gear on centerstand) and standing on the right side, slowly give it just a bit of gas while holding the back brake slightly to put some pressure against the drive train. This will tell you if it's just the back/forth clunking of the play between the gears, or if it continues, something more serious. Don't rev it very high unless you feel like doing a little re-decorating to the wall in front of the bike.

Add me to the members who adamantly oppose doing the Dremmel fix if it is not absolutely needed.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot when I get around to getting the brakes working. Today I stripped all the paint off the tank, man there are a lot of rust holes that needed filling. Looks cool bare metal though, I'm going to clear coat it and call that good enough.

I ordered a front MC that should get here Thursday, so I'll get to work on brakes later this week.

If the tank is rusted through, do NOT put bondo on it! You will need to weld on new metal, or clean and solder up the holes. Anything else will leak. I know, my '79 had a line down the top with gas leaking out when I filled the tank. Stripped the paint, and the PO had drilled holes to pull out a dent, then put bondo on for the finish. I stripped the tank, soldered up the holes, then put a thin coat of bondo to smooth out the tank. Never leaked....

I have Bubble Tape. Do I chew it first and plug holes, or moisten it and use it like actual tape?
